Job Details

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software such as Oracle and Sage.
5. Experience with corporate taxation and tax planning.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to train and mentor junior staff.
9. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles.
10. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
11. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
12. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
13. High attention to detail and accuracy, even under pressure.
14. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
15. Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all general ledger transactions and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
3. Manage the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
4. Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
5. Monitor and forecast incoming cash flow, prepare budgets and financial forecasts, and coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
6. Implement, monitor, and maintain financial accounting systems, including Oracle and Sage, for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
7. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
8. Develop strategies to minimize financial risk.
9. Coordinate with the finance team to complete annual audits.
10. Liaise with tax accountants to ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation.
11. Drive process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
12. Assist with special projects as required.
