Responsibilities:
Must be fully comfortable with the following:
  • Abdomen (aorta, appendix, bile ducts, gallbladder, kidneys, liver, pancreas, spleen, etc.)
  • Pelvis and Scrotum (gynecological, infertility including male infertility, ovarian abnormalities, pelvic pain, uterine abnormalities, etc.)
  • Head, Neck and Chest (difficulty swallowing, thyroid nodules, etc.)
  • Fetal (obstetrical)
  • Etc.

Certifications and Licensures
Education:
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.
  • Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in either ABD or OB-GYN.
  • One-year Inpatient hospital environment.
