Job Details

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Ability to integrate with new environment and works well as a team member as well as independently
  • Experience in establishing successful R&D projects
  • Strong writing, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and experience successfully managing a diverse group of competent R&D focused researchers
  • Hands-on material, coating and sensor development, optimization, customization, and production
  • Hands-on experience with gas delivery systems
  • Polymer coating, functionalization, and smart material
  • Attention to details, identify and trouble-shoot technical problems
  • Technical writing skills for reports, presentations, and grant proposals
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, Statistical analysis Sigma Plot software, and Power Point
  • Proven ability to accomplish technical goals both independently and as a member of a research team
  • Specific experience in grant technical proposal writing is required

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to understand tasks and goals and push tasks and projects to completion with minimal supervision
  • Ability to serve simultaneously several projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
  • Engineering/material expertise in design, development and testing of biomedical sensor products (clinical and wearables), devices and assemblies is an asset
  • Experience in design, fabrication or operation of optical and/or electronic systems is an asset
  • Experience in performing on R&D projects for the US Military.
