We are now looking for a Data Scientist to help us enhance our next generation online analytics platform. The right individual should have 3+ years of professional Data Scientist experience with strong data analysis and virtualization experience. This individual should be well-versed or highly comfortable with Software Development utilizing Python and SQL. Job Details

Day to Day:

  • Developing, maintaining and enhancing our client facing analytical platform (Client Portal)
  • Building and extending our automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, auto-scaling, code deployment and failover
  • Improve our infrastructure monitoring, alerting and reporting
  • Build modern automation tools provisioning on new infrastructure components
  • Analyzing and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various system resources
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies
  • Establish production best practices for the entire engineering team
  • Maintain and enhance our internal system as needed
  • Help recruit and train future engineers
  • Guide and mentor other junior engineers to define elegant software solutions, to improve performance and scalability requirements
  • Collaborate with our sales and marketing team to define product requirements

Qualifications :
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with emphasis on Full Stack Development
  • Proficient with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript (React.js)
  • Experience developing scalable APIs
  • Experience with Relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
  • Experience working in an Amazon Web Service (AWS) or similar cloud environment
  • Familiarity with Python or similar scripting language

Nice to have skills, but not required:

  • Familiarity with Data Visualization utilizing D3.js or similar JS Charting Library is a huge plus
  • Experience with analytical databases such as Vertica (preferred), AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, etc. is a huge plus
