You will be responsible for leading a small to mid-sized team. We're looking for someone comfortable with management practices and are strong project managers. As a leader, they can ensure that they are tracking the team's efficiency and quality of work, they assist in regularly adjusting processes and timelines to ensure high quality work is delivered.

The Engineering Manager may spend less time writing code but there is an expectation that they still engage mostly in technical deliverables such as bug fixes and feature development, without blocking or slowing down the progress of their team. You should be comfortable to serve as a guide identifying issues/bottlenecks in the process.

Job Details

Traits and experience we are seeking:
3 years of engineering management experience leading productive teams with great engineering cultures. Must have the ability to describe why these teams performed well. Must be able to articulate what you did to ensure the engineers could perform at their best.
You write understandable, testable code with a focus on sustainability.
Strong communication skills and low ego. You prefer to take on difficult discussions rather than shirking the tough stuff. Humility to serve is a must.
You possess strong a computer science background and have put it to use in production environments for many years.
You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship or strong work experience. We understand that a real world education can be as valuable as higher education.
You are a thoughtful, trustworthy person who gets things done.
