Job Details

SUMMARY:
As our Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for schematic design, electrical analysis, PCB layout oversight, electrical test, and verification of electronic circuits used in spaceborne communications and networking. You will work largely independently on their contributions to the products and systems; however, coordinates well with other contributors such as mechanical engineering, software engineering, procurement, manufacturing and quality assurance.

MUST HAVES:
  • 2+ Years of Spaceborne Design Applications Experience.
  • Signal & Power Integrity Experience.
  • OrCAD Experience.
  • Schematic Design.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Schematic design and simulation of analog circuits (e.g. power distribution, telemetry monitoring, and motor control).
  • Schematic design and simulation of digital circuits (e.g. microprocessor/microcontrollers, FPGA/SoC, memory devices, digital transceivers, etc.)
  • Circuit Analyses (e.g. worst-case circuit analysis, failure modes and effects, reliability/availability, rudimentary thermal analysis, etc.)
  • Layout of PCBs and/or oversee outsourced PCB layout.
  • Electrical test of circuits.
  • Generation of test procedures.
  • Coordinate packaging with mechanical engineering.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with OrCAD, LT Spice, Altium, etc.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed signal and power integrity analysis and practices.
  • Proficiency with standard electronics test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent expository writing and oral presentation skills.
