SUMMARY:
As the Senior Automation Engineer your will be responsible for hands-on systems-level integration of data analysis and software development and involves close interaction with mechanical, electrical, software, test, and manufacturing engineering functions. You will work with cross functional teams programming process control systems, and providing technical support for daily biologics manufacturing operations and for the specification, installation, start-up, and qualification support of process equipment projects.

MUST HAVES:
  • Experience with Automation Systems (Delta V or Allen Bradley PLC)
  • System Architecture experience
  • PLC or HMI programming
  • Project Management experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Troubleshooting process equipment-related issues.
  • Expert with SA25 Aseptic Filling Work-cell HMIs codes, data monitoring and analysis for continuous process improvements and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Implement continuous improvements for process and equipment.
  • Use Six Sigma tools to lead complex process automation investigation.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process Engineers, Plant Engineering, Validation and Quality.
  • Use Six Sigma tools to lead complex process automation investigation
  • Create, modify, and maintain automation documentation, including automation specification documents (URS, FDS, SDS), SOPs, P&ID, network topology, PFD, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, etc. in a compliant state.
  • Develop, plan, and implement, automation-based projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of PLC and HMI programming experience
  • Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device experience
  • Experience with batch process control
  • Experience with complex troubleshooting and process optimization
  • Experience with the architecture of full automation systems
