Job Details
Work as a Process Engineer in a process plant environment.
Deliver designs and Engineering packages related to process engineering for industrial plants.
Define the scope of work discussing with customer, coordinate with the offshore team and deliver the engineering deliverables.
Coordinate with customer to collect all the required inputs to complete the engineering design.
Coordinate with vendors and construction team to get the required information for completing the design and technical evaluation of vendor quotations.
Attend design reviews along with customer and the construction team and get the necessary approvals.
Support in construction and start up activities.
Support start-up activities as needed.
8 to 10 years of experience
Skills Required:
Should have worked as a Process Engineer for industrial plants (Chemical, Agrochemical, Specialty chemicals or any other similar industry)
Ability to prepare and understand PFD, P&IDs
Understand basic chemical engineering fundamentals like heat transfer, fluid mechanics, solid handling, mass transfer etc.
Prepare chemical engineering calculations: mass & energy balance, process/utility piping hydraulic calculations
Should be able to specify pump, heat exchanger, tank and other equipment without any supervision – as per project requirement
Previous work experience in surfactant manufacturing plant would be a plus
Conversant with AutoCAD and MS office application must
Familiarity with AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow and any other hydraulic calculation software will be added advantage
Physical Requirement:
Must be able to climb flights of stairs and remain standing for at least 2 hours
If needed - must be able to lift up to 25 lb
