We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Plumbing Designer to join our Engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small-scale residential systems to large-scale commercial and residential plumbing designs. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that values creativity, innovation, and quality in the delivery of our services. The successful candidate will be expected to provide expertise in plumbing design, including water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office for the design and documentation of plumbing systems.
2. Conduct load calculations and hydraulic analysis to ensure the efficiency and safety of the plumbing systems.
3. Develop detailed layout plans and piping diagrams for plumbing systems.
4. Collaborate with structural and MEP engineers to ensure the integration of the plumbing design with other building systems.
5. Review and interpret NFPA codes and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance of the plumbing design.
6. Participate in the coordination meetings with the project team and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate plumbing solutions.
7. Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits.
8. Continually update knowledge and skills related to the latest trends and technologies in the plumbing design.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing design in the engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
3. Strong understanding of NFPA codes and other relevant plumbing regulations.
4. Experience in load calculations and hydraulic analysis.
5. Knowledge of layout plans and piping diagrams for plumbing systems.
6. Familiarity with structural and MEP integration in plumbing design.
7. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
8. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
9. Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) certification is a plus.
