Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to children ranging from newborns to adolescents. This role involves diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, from common ailments to complex health issues. The Pediatrician will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals and must be comfortable making decisions in high-pressure situations. This role is primarily outpatient-based, offering a balance between work and personal life.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular thorough examinations on newborns, infants, and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development.
2. Diagnose and treat pediatric diseases and injuries.
3. Administer vaccines and advise on health and safety issues.
4. Evaluate patients to assess their health and detect signs of malnutrition, developmental delays, and other conditions.
5. Prescribe medication and give detailed instructions for administration.
6. Educate parents and guardians on children’s diet, exercise, and disease preventive measures.
7. Keep updated records of patients' illnesses, surgeries, and follow-ups.
8. Collaborate with other physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
9. Participate in continuing education activities to maintain and develop expertise.
10. Respond to emergencies effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications:
1. Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics - Pediatric Residency Training required
2. Proven experience as a Pediatrician with ideally 2+ years of experience. New grads also considered.
3. Active NJ state license or willing to obtain
4. Ideally proficient in Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
5. Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to interpret test results.
6. Exceptional patient management skills and ability to put patients at ease.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
9. Good practical skills for performing examinations and procedures.
10. Ability to work in high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly.
11. Current CPR or BLS certification.
