Job Details

Our client in Colorado is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Tech to join their Night Shift team. You'll be responsible for conducting complex laboratory procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment where your work will have a direct impact on patient care. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled professionals and use state-of-the-art equipment. This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests and analyses in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and immunohematology.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and establish the sequence of testing based on patient diagnosis.
  • Record, interpret, and validate test results, and ensure they are accurately entered into the patient’s medical record.
  • Adhere to established laboratory protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, ensuring minimal downtime of lab equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Lab Sciences or a related field.
  • Must hold a valid ASCP or MLT certification or be eligible for certification
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Tech.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical laboratory skills, including phlebotomy, microscopy, and automated analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in using laboratory information systems and medical software.
