Overview: Able to operate various types and sizes of hand or power brakes, bending and forming sheet metal parts.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate various types of machines: Sizing, planisher and power brakes.
• Operates power brake to form various types of flat metal stock such as banding, making joggles, and angle bends.
• May finish-form partially formed punch press, hydro press, and drop hammer parts.
• Recognizes improper functioning of press and reports condition to supervisors.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Performs rework, repair and other associated operations described.
• Ability to troubleshoot.

Education / Experience:

• High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 1+ years of related experience and/ or training
• Other Abilities: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Tools used: Hand tools, measuring instruments and templates.
• Materials used: Lubricants, Ferrous and non-ferrous metals and their alloys in the form of flat and shaped parts.
