Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist to join our medical team. As a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist, you will provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical cases, including ENT, General Surgery, Cosmetics, GYN, Ortho, Ophthalmology, and Endoscopy. This position offers a flexible schedule, with 5 days per week from 8 am to 5 pm, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Evaluate patients' medical histories and conduct pre-operative assessments to determine the appropriate anesthesia plan.
Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, according to the specific needs of each patient and procedure.
Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary to maintain optimal anesthesia depth and patient stability.
Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the smooth progress of surgical procedures.
Document patient information, anesthesia administration, and any adverse reactions accurately and comprehensively in the medical records.
Adhere to all relevant medical and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols, to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Requirements:
Active Oregon Medical License and Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
Proven experience as an Anesthesiologist, preferably in a locum tenens or temporary capacity.
Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle any emergent situations.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing patient needs and surgical schedules.
