A bit about us:

We are a design and user experience driven consumer electronics company making revolutionary wifi and bluetooth connected products in the kitchen appliance space. The market we are playing in is massive and ripe for disruption as there has been very little innovation in the past 50 years. Within our segment, we are in the premium category in which we win on design, overall user experience and producing a superior product to our competitors.

Our initial funding came from tens of thousands of pre-orders we booked based on nothing more than a concept and a few thousand dollars in social media advertising. From there venture capital funding followed shortly. Demand was so strong that we had to shut off the presales while we went about making these machines a reality! Now a few years later, we are in the manufacturing phase with thousands of units in the wild with our pre-sales customers. Initial reviews are phenomenal. People really love the product!

Why join us?

We are at a critical juncture where we need to improve our quality and yield in order to move forward with mass distribution through ready and waiting partnerships with the world’s largest retailers and various other partners. As machines are now in customer hands, we inevitably have technical issues. In many cases, these technical issues may provide opportunities to improve our manufacturing processes and alter our designs. This is where you come in! We are in need of an experienced Test Engineer with professional experience in the consumer electronics, automotive, or closely related industries to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a breadth of foundational knowledge in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and physics. If this sounds like you please apply now as interviews are ongoing!

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • Impact. Autonomy. Respect. Support.
  • Competitive start-up salary, bonus and stock options
  • Opportunity to define and build this function and department out in our fast growing company!

Job Details

When a customer experiences an issue that can not be solved by level 1 and 2 technical support, the machine will come to you. You will need to tear it down, diagnose, reproduce, and document the issue. From there, you will work with our various engineering and product teams to develop tests to easier and better diagnose these issues as well as think about and work cross-departmentally to develop solutions to prevent these issues from happening with future machines. Eventually some of these bugs will be eliminated entirely while you will develop tests and procedures for our service partners to employ for remediation and refurbishment going forward.

We are in need of someone capable of performing root cause analysis of complex systems that include motors, software, wifi, bluetooth, and fluids all packaged in tight constraints (fits under kitchen cabinets). The role is not simply to fix the machine and get it back in the hands of the customer. It is more about looking for opportunities to fix design and manufacturing process flaws for future machines and implementing protocols, procedures and processes for the remediation and refurbishment of machines with issues that can’t be fixed by the customer with the help of first or 2nd tier technical support.
