Our client, a water infrastructure industry leader in the Southwest for over 40 years, is seeking a Construction Field Engineer with Survey experience to add value to their growing team. This successful candidate will be an integral part of our team and will need 2+ years experience in a self perform heavy civil and/or treatment plant environment. The Field Engineer will be responsible for procuring materials and survey activities.

You will work hand in hand with field management, complete RFIs and submittals, and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Field Engineer Responsibilities -

• Provide technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Superintendent.
• Review plans and other technical documents.
• Assist with work package assembly.
• Answer questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project.
• Assist in monitoring costs and project progress.
• Perform a variety of tasks, including items related to safety, permits, submittals, O&M manuals, material procurement, RFIs, construction scheduling, progress --meetings, and budgeting.

Surveyor Responsibilities -

• Perform onsite layout and basic surveying tasks.
• Create accurate AutoCAD drawings to the appropriate State Plane Coordinate System.
• Set and/or verify control points and benchmarks.
• Record accurate as-build information with Total Station or GNSS.
