We are a fast-growing lifestyle brand based in San Diego and have an immediate need for a VP/ CMO of Digital Marketing. This person lead and help build our digital marketing practice and oversee all of our ecommerce operations. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of brand development, focus on ecommerce but understand omni-channel digital marketing and are able to drive execution across all platforms. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity, salary + bonus + equity plan.

Job Details

Is your background a fit?
* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* 7+ years of experience with all things digital (SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Email, SMS, etc.) with a strong focus on ecommerce operations and strategy; prior experience working for a D2C ecommerce company is preferred
* Strategy minded but still knows how to drive execution
* Strong understanding of brand development and management, particularly digitally
* Strong understanding of the bottom-line and financials
* Comprehensive understanding of customer segmentation, flows and lifecycle
* Experience with and ability to drive revenue on Amazon, Walmart.com, and other third-party websites
* Experience managing and growing an affiliate sales program
* Able to analyze digital trends and drive consumer feedback and take actionable steps
* Deep knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices
* Expertise with web conversion optimization and web design
* Strong project management, team management, and communication skills
* Entrepreneurial ability to work and adapt in a fast pace environment

What will you be doing:
* Oversee the daily management of the website with a strong focus on driving traffic to the site
* Oversee the strategy, growth, and planning of all digital marketing
* Work with our front end development team to implement any website changes
* Work with our marketing team to develop multi-channel marketing strategies (e-mail, social, direct mail) for customer lifecycle and growth/retention programs as well as establish, test, and optimize digital marketing funnels
* Contribute to the strategic development and implementation of A/B testing, personalization, and analysis
* Oversee visual merchandising to improve customer acquisition and experience through the presentation of product while increasing online conversion, sales, profits, and loyalty
* Utilize web analytics to analyze the performance of site content, site traffic patterns, and emails, optimizing for seasonality, relevance, and selection
* Develop digital and campaign specific KPI's and benchmarks
* Measure and report on relevant KPIs across digital campaigns
* Own evaluation/management/selection of all agency partners for paid channels
* Evaluate emerging digital technologies and make recommendations
* Work closely with development and marketing on build and maintenance of customer acquisition and retention strategies
* Coordinate with marketing team to optimize ongoing email promotions and content for prospects and existing customers
* Lead paid digital marketing campaign development and implementation in support of conversion, acquisition, and awareness goals
* Stay up to date with current and future digital trends and lead and educate Senior Management
