Our client has upped the game for hotels and short-term rentals. They've put a luxurious spin on the renting aspects. Not only that they are also creating a state-of-the-art technology platform that could supper charge the way hotels and short-term rental owners work.

This will be the first DevOps hire for the team. The DevOps engineer will be responsible for the quality, reliability, and availability of the company systems, as well as increasing developer and product release efficiency. As our first dedicated DevOps engineer, this position will spearhead our DevOps functions in both serverless & containerized applications.

Experience
5+ years of relevant DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering (or equivalent) experience
Practiced in serving an engineering team of at least 20 across global timezones from PST (San Francisco) to CET (Budapest) and companies with truly a remote team and culture
You have built out systems using configuration management framework(s) such as Terraform, AWS CDK, Cloudformation, Chef, Puppet, Serverless Framework etc.
You are familiar with container technology and intimately familiar with the AWS ecosystem
You have built out:
Monitoring & alerting instrumentation
Distributed, multi-region fault-tolerant systems
CI/CD pipelines — Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis, etc. are great friends of yours
You have reliably maintained uptime in similar systems to a reasonable number of 9s
You are an expert in your field, have a strong EQ, and are able to generate deep empathy with guests and operating team members which enables you to truly listen and implement product feedback
You are able and excited to travel 1-2x per quarter to San Francisco or Hungary
