A bit about us:
As the Mortgage Underwriter, you will be:
- Reviewing mortgage loan files for completeness and data integrity.
- Evaluating borrower’s credit and capacity to repay the requested loan.
- Evaluating the collateral securing the requested loan and determining acceptability.
- Reviewing mortgage loan files for compliance with regulatory, investor, bank and agency guidelines.
- Making the credit decision to Approve, Suspend or Deny the loan and issuing approval within timeframe established by TBM procedures.
- Completing all necessary forms to comply with regulatory, investor, bank and agency guidelines.
- Completing Underwriting Approval and providing to Loan Officer, Processor and Closer.
- Recording appropriate data and status into processing system.
- Mentoring and supporting processors.
- Supporting Originators as a resource for questions.
- Other duties as needed.
- Obeying all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
