Job Details
- Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
- Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
- Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
- Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations.
- Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
- Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
- Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
- Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
- Develop management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more efficient
- Confer with product development team about product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
- Participate in the development of project scopes, design of systems, and functional specifications.
- Utilizes technical materials such as equipment manuals, MSDS, safety materials, system drawings, Process and Instrument Diagrams (PID's), schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
- Participates in cross-functional process improvement teams to drive plant performance through improved processes and system performance.
- Participates in the creation and implementation of a training program for the Maintenance Technicians and operations employees around the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated controls and information systems.
