A bit about us:
The Estimator is responsible for working both independently and collaboratively (with executive management and project teams) to estimate project costs for firm fixed-price bids, proposals and change orders. The Estimator’s job is to leverage field experience, industry knowledge and solid analytical skills to prepare accurate quantity take-offs. Fundamental to this role is the ability to make sound assumptions and identify gaps in construction documents.

- Review, interpret, and accurately estimate scopes of work as describe in the project documents
- Prepare take-off and pricing for civil disciplines
- Participate in putting final bid together on bid day, attend pre-bid conferences as requested
- Responsible for all aspects of estimating including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, -general conditions, value engineering, and subcontractor bidding.
- Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications, ensuring required information is provided.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience estimating within heavy civil construction industry preferred.
- Local knowledge of the industry.
- Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highly proficient in selected software (Excel, Word, Outlook), HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software and P6, and -AutoCAD a plus.
