ECHO TECH

4 10s - DAY SHIFT

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies, including 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and Doppler echocardiograms.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort throughout.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including clinical history and interpretation of test results.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous professional development activities.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiac sonography and implement new techniques as appropriate.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior sonographers and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with a specialty in echocardiography (RDCS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in cardiac sonography required.
  • Proficient in performing various types of echocardiograms, including 2-D, M-Mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as pathophysiology.
  • Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures in a way that patients can understand.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in interpreting echocardiographic results and maintaining patient records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be able to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Knowledge of current safety protocols and procedures in the medical imaging field.
