We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Senior Construction Estimator will play a pivotal role in our pre-construction phase, providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a wide range of projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful construction ventures while collaborating closely with our project management and engineering teams.

Our esteemed organization is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Senior Estimator to join our team. This role is pivotal in our Engineering department, as it involves preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for various engineering projects. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the estimating process, from conceptual design through construction documents, while working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, and Heavybid software.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various engineering projects, including labor, material, and time costs.
2. Review construction plans and specifications to determine the total scope of work to be estimated.
3. Lead and manage the bid process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
4. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary data for estimates.
5. Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet the project specifications and scope.
6. Use Bluebeam, Procore, and Heavybid software to prepare and manage estimates.
7. Present prepared estimates to clients and project managers, explaining and defending the cost estimate details.
8. Maintain a comprehensive database of cost-estimating resources to assist in future project planning.
9. Continually monitor industry trends and advancements to stay current with market rates and construction methodologies.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of engineering or construction estimation.
3. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, and Heavybid or equivalent software is a must.
4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
5. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively explain and defend estimates.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
8. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
9. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate the bid process.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
11. 85% in office and 15% in field on average.
12. Report to office in Long Beach, CA or San Diego, CA
