We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Water Resources Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, hybrid role that offers the flexibility of working from home and in-office, providing the best of both worlds. The successful candidate will be a key player in our Engineering department, focusing on the design and management of water resources projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including stormwater management, BMP design, and environmental engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and manage water resources projects, including stormwater, drainage, and wastewater systems.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for design and modeling tasks.
  • Develop BMP designs and sediment control plans in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with municipalities and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance.
  • Conduct hydrological studies and analyses to support design decisions.
  • Provide technical expertise in environmental engineering, particularly in the areas of water and wastewater treatment.
  • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, technical papers, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in water resources design, stormwater management, BMP design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcGIS.
  • Strong understanding of water resources engineering principles, including hydrology, stormwater management, and wastewater treatment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal water resources regulations.
  • Experience working with municipalities and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within a year is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Willingness to keep learning and improving.
