Our company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven VP of Sales for our Liquid Barge division. This position will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of our business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services in the Liquid Barge division.
2. Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
3. Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.
4. Develop and manage sales operating budgets.
5. Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.
6. Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and services.
7. Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
8. Analyze and control expenditures of the division to conform to budgetary requirements.
9. Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
10. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Qualifications

1. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Maritime industry, specifically in barge line sales.
2. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
3. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
4. Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Superior negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and handle challenging situations.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
10. Ability to travel as necessary.
