VP of Design

We are seeking an innovative and strategic VP of Design to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for leading our design team and setting the vision for our product design across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS and a proven track record of delivering exceptional design solutions that meet business and user needs. Responsibilities:
1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product designers, ensuring they deliver high-quality work that aligns with our company vision and goals.
2. Develop a comprehensive and effective design strategy that aligns with our business objectives and user needs.
3. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
4. Oversee the design of our entire product suite, ensuring a consistent and cohesive user experience across all platforms.
5. Advocate for our users, conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
6. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.
7. Present design strategies and solutions to senior leadership and other stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind design decisions.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a design team, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.
2. Exceptional design skills, with a portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
3. Proven experience developing and implementing design strategies that meet business objectives and user needs.
4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to a variety of stakeholders.
6. Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
7. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, or similar.
8. A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
9. A passion for creating user-centered design solutions that have a real impact on people’s lives.
