We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Vice President of Medical Affairs. This position plays a crucial role in our organization, bridging the gap between our medical, clinical and commercial teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology and rare diseases. They will also have extensive experience in the field as an MSL, medical communications, medical information, expanded access programs, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), standard operating procedures (SOPs), key opinion leaders (KOL), and thought leadership. The position requires a minimum of 15 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

As the Vice President of Medical Affairs, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing all medical affairs activities, including medical communications, medical information, and expanded access programs.
2. Developing and implementing brand strategies for oncology and rare disease products.
3. Collaborating with the commercial team to ensure alignment of medical and commercial objectives.
4. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL) in the field of oncology and rare diseases.
5. Leading the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the medical affairs department.
6. Providing thought leadership and strategic direction for the medical affairs team.
7. Overseeing health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) activities to support product value propositions.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Vice President of Medical Affairs role, you must possess the following:

1. An advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) is required.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical affairs in the biotech industry.
3. Proven experience in oncology and rare diseases.
4. Strong knowledge of brand strategy development and implementation.
5. Extensive experience in medical communications and medical information.
6. Experience in managing expanded access programs.
7. Expertise in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
8. Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
9. Strong network of KOLs in the field of oncology and rare diseases.
10. Proven thought leadership skills.
11. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
12. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
13. High level of integrity and professionalism.
