We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Permanent Ultrasound Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing patient services using medical ultrasound equipment. The role demands a deep understanding of anatomical positioning and pathology identification to provide accurate diagnostic patient care. A successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent patient service skills, and a keen desire to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Performing high-quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner.
2. Adjusting equipment controls according to the patient’s needs and to optimize the image quality.
3. Reviewing patient history and supporting clinical data necessary for the Radiologist to perform a proper diagnosis.
4. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
5. Preparing preliminary findings for the physician to aid in patient management.
6. Interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare team members professionally.
7. Maintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the room in which the procedure takes place.
8. Assisting in the management of patient flow to ensure timely care.
9. Participating in Quality Improvement and Safety initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
2. Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RDMS).
3. Current CPR certification.
4. A minimum of 5 years of experience in ultrasound technology.
5. Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and in the performance of ultrasound procedures.
6. Excellent communication and patient care skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office setting.
8. Ability to adapt and respond to various situations in a calm and effective manner.
9. Must have a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
10. Adherence to all HIPAA regulations and maintenance of patient confidentiality at all times.
