Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of trust and estate law, including estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related tax matters.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring all matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and guidance on complex trust and estate matters.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate tax returns.
  • Keep abreast of changes in trust and estate law and tax regulations, ensuring our firm remains at the forefront of the industry.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for complex cases.
  • Participate in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and client meetings.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legal, ethical, and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a focus on tax matters.
  • Admission to IL state bar.
  • Extensive knowledge of trust and estate law and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering top-quality legal services.
  • A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical awareness.
  • The ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and meet tight deadlines.
