Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trust Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is ready to take their accounting career to the next level. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate financial accounting. You will play a crucial role in creating and analyzing financial statements, ensuring they comply with industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements to ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
  • Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all financial accounting activities align with company policies and meet the highest standards of integrity.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to complete the annual audit.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and current financial legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, general ledger, financial accounting, and financial statements.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in the medical industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and challenges.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
