We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Trust and Estates Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a strong understanding of trusts and estates, estate planning, drafting, e-filing, and probate. The candidate will provide comprehensive legal support, work closely with our attorneys and clients, and have the opportunity to be involved in complex and challenging trust and estate matters. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist attorneys in all aspects of trusts and estates including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills.
2. Conduct legal research and provide detailed reports on trust and estate laws.
3. Prepare and file legal documents such as probate petitions, tax returns, and accountings.
4. Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals to ensure smooth administration of trusts and estates.
5. Manage and organize client files, track important deadlines, and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained and properly filed.
6. Assist in the probate process, including the preparation of probate documents and managing estate assets.
7. Provide support in estate planning, including the creation of comprehensive estate plans and the review of existing plans.
8. Assist with trust administration, including the preparation of trust documents and the management of trust assets.
9. Handle e-filing and document management tasks efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal focusing on Trusts and Estates.
2. A Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent is preferred.
3. Proficient in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing case files.
4. Strong knowledge of probate, trust administration, and estate planning.
5. Proficient in e-filing in state and federal courts.
6. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and other team members.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), legal research software, and document management systems.
11. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
