Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception to resolution and represent clients in court.
• Assess potential cases for strength and viability and develop case theories.
• Analyze complex information.
• Negotiate favorable settlements.
• Draft motions, conduct depositions and document review, and perform legal research as necessary.
• Liaise with clients and colleagues to accomplish company goals and satisfy client requests.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school .
• Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.
• 3-5 years of prior civil litigation experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a high volume of cases.
• Detail-oriented and able to analyze, interpret and apply legal precedent.
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures is a plus.
• Experience handling medical malpractice and/or insurance defense matters is a plus.
