Traveling Superintendent - USACE / Heavy Civil / Roadway Construction

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for a USACE Heavy Civil / Road Repair project located at Fort Johnson.

Responsibilities

· Coordinate and supervise all construction activities;

· Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications;

· Maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems;

· Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process;

· Understand the project plans and specifications;

· Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees;

· Prepare, schedule and supervise completion of a final punch list;

· Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately;

· Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy;

· Maintain an organized job site, including the construction office;

· Review qualifications of subcontractors;

· Collaborate with Quality Control and Site Safety counterparts to ensure coordination between areas of responsibility;

· In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the position.

Requirements
· Minimum of 10 years of construction experience with at least 5 of those years as a superintendent on similar projects
· Valid OSHA 30, EM385
· Must be able to pass a Federal background check and all pre-employment requirements
