Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Cold Storage/Refrigeration Superintendent to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial refrigeration, refrigeration systems, and the construction industry. This role will primarily focus on the management and supervision of refrigeration projects, including cold storage, freezers, and control systems, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the construction and installation of commercial refrigeration systems, including planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are performed on time and as per the project plans and specifications.
• Perform system and pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and other necessary procedures to ensure the efficiency and safety of the refrigeration systems.
• Supervise the installation of piping, freezer subslabs, and control systems.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work and adherence to the project timeline.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
• Prepare and submit project reports and updates to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the Industrial Construction industry with a focus on Cold Storage or Commercial/Industrial Refrigeration.
• Proven experience in managing industrial projects, specifically those involving refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of cold storage, piping, freezer subslabs, and control systems.
• Proficient in subcontractor scheduling, system testing, pressure testing, and hydrostatic testing.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using construction management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent is preferred.
• Certifications in refrigeration, safety, and other relevant areas are highly desirable.
• Must be willing to travel as per project requirements.
