Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Total Rewards Specialist to join our team in the greater Houston, TX area. The Total Rewards Specialist will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our company's compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of total rewards principles and best practices, as well as experience in analyzing compensation data and developing competitive compensation strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, variable pay, health and welfare benefits, -retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure our compensation and benefits packages remain competitive within the industry and region.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain salary structures, job classifications, and pay scales that align with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and equity grants, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and HR business partners on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, offer negotiations, and pay equity analyses.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to optimize the delivery of our benefits programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HRIS teams to ensure accurate and timely data reporting and analysis for compensation and benefits-related metrics.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in total rewards practices and regulations, and make recommendations for program enhancements or adjustments as needed.
  • Educate and communicate with employees about our total rewards programs, including conducting training sessions and preparing written materials.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits programs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation and benefits administration, with a focus on total rewards strategy and program management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform compensation and benefits decisions.
  • Proficiency in compensation survey participation and market pricing methodologies.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation management systems; proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits, including ERISA, FLSA, and ACA.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
