This is a temporary position with the opportunity to go temporary to hire. Duration is at least 3 months, probably closer to 6 months.

Job Title: Senior Accountant - Software Implementation Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team as a Software Implementation Specialist, with a primary focus on transitioning our accounting system from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting background along with proficiency in software implementation, particularly in the context of financial systems. This role will involve quality assurance testing, building the inventory system, and performing data validation to ensure a smooth transition and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transition process from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct, ensuring a seamless migration of financial data and processes.
Conduct quality assurance testing of the new software implementation to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and configure Sage Intacct accordingly.
Build and optimize the inventory system within Sage Intacct, including setting up inventory items, pricing, and tracking mechanisms.
Perform thorough data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information transferred to Sage Intacct.
Develop and document accounting procedures, workflows, and controls related to the new software system.
Provide training and support to finance team members on the effective use of Sage Intacct and related processes.
Act as a liaison between the finance department and IT/software development teams to communicate requirements and address technical issues.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
Prior experience with software implementations, particularly in transitioning from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct, is highly desirable.
