Job Details

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day client management with a focus on client communication and accountability
  • Review and prepare various types of income tax returns, including C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individual
  • Conduct tax research and communicate findings to clients, as well as maintain client files
  • Assist with strategic business and tax consulting, including tax minimization and risk management strategies such as:
  • Analyzing partnership operating agreements to determine profit/loss allocation
  • Providing support for merger and acquisition analysis and due diligence
  • Reviewing client trial balances for book/tax timing differences
  • Evaluating depreciation methods and lives used
  • Assisting with accounting method changes
  • Reviewing multi-state operations for state filing requirements
  • Provide assistance with federal and state tax controversy work
  • Supervise and train Tax associates

Job Requirements:

  • College graduate with an accounting degree
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software, including tax research software
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam (candidates already holding the CPA credential are preferred)
  • At least three years of experience as an associate in a public accounting firm or equivalent work experience
