Tax Senior

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our team in Virginia Beach. This role involves working closely with our clients and team to prepare and review tax returns, providing solutions to complex tax issues, and contributing to the development of junior staff.

• Tax Preparation and Review: Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Ensure all filings comply with state and federal regulations.
• Client Interaction: Assist in managing client relationships, addressing and resolving tax-related inquiries. Provide high-quality customer service and maintain professional client interactions.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong understanding of tax code and regulations. Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in legislation.
• Mentorship and Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members. Help in building a knowledgeable and efficient team.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex tax issues. Provide innovative solutions and strategies to meet client needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or progress towards CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
