Job Title: Tax Senior

Overview:

As a Tax Senior, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional tax services to our diverse client base, including small businesses, high net-worth individuals (HNWIs), and partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships based on trust, integrity, and exceptional service.
Conduct client meetings to gather tax information, discuss tax planning strategies, and address any tax-related questions or concerns.
Proactively identify opportunities to add value to client relationships by offering tailored tax solutions and advising on tax-saving opportunities.
Tax Compliance and Preparation:
Prepare and review tax returns for a variety of entities, including small businesses, partnerships, high net-worth individuals, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Analyze financial data, tax documents, and supporting schedules to identify potential tax deductions, credits, and incentives for clients.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements to ensure clients remain in compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct tax research on complex issues and transactions, interpreting tax laws, rulings, and regulations to support tax positions and strategies.
Analyze tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other events, providing recommendations to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax risks for clients.
Prepare technical memos and documentation to support tax positions and communicate findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
Team Collaboration and Mentoring:
Collaborate with colleagues and partners to deliver integrated tax solutions and coordinate services across different practice areas within the firm.
Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance on tax principles, software tools, and best practices to support their professional development and growth.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, sharing knowledge and expertise with team members to enhance overall productivity and client service.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA license or progress towards CPA preferred.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory role, with a focus on tax compliance and client management.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements for small businesses, individuals, and partnerships.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and firm leadership.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
