Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Tax Manager, you will be tasked with:

1. Managing and overseeing all tax-related operations, including tax planning, compliance, and audit.
2. Providing expert tax advice and strategies to our private equity clients, helping them optimize their tax position.
3. Working closely with our real estate industry clients, including REITs and S-Corporations, to manage their tax obligations effectively.
4. Reviewing and signing off on tax returns, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
5. Conducting tax estimates and tax allocations for our clients, ensuring they are prepared for any potential tax liabilities.
6. Keeping abreast of all changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring our clients and our organization are always compliant.
7. Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
8. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, providing them with exceptional service at all times.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Manager role should have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
2. Previous experience working with real estate industry clients, including REITs and S-Corporations.
3. Proven experience working in a Big 4, Large National Firm, or Regional Firm.
4. A deep understanding of tax allocations and tax estimates.
5. Extensive experience reviewing and signing off on tax returns.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
8. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
9. A proven track record of managing private equity clients' tax obligations effectively.
