Job Details

Full-time position for a Tax Manager in our tax and accounting group.
Responsible for managing tax preparation and planning (individual and business) as well as accounting services for clients.
Autonomously review tax returns and provide feedback to preparers.
Communicate effectively with clients verbally and in writing.
Identify tax planning opportunities for discussions with partners and clients.
Focus on client satisfaction, self-motivation, continuous learning, and maintain a positive attitude.

Essential Functions

Review and deliver individual and business income tax returns prepared by staff.
Review and provide accounting services, including financial statement preparation and compilation.
Independently communicate with clients, IRS, and other professionals (internal and external).
Adhere to standard operating procedures.
Conduct tax research and stay updated on law changes.
Identify missing information, errors, omissions, and planning opportunities.
Manage engagement budgets and billings.
Provide on-the-job coaching to preparers and staff.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field.
Active CPA or EA license.
At least 5 years of experience in public accounting.
Experience with signing individual and/or business income tax returns is a plus.
Familiarity with preferred software (Ultra Tax, SurePrep, Accounting CS, QuickBooks) is a plus but not required.
