Prominent Business Services and CPA firm, is searching for a Senior Tax Manager for their office in Sugarland, TX. As a senior-level position, the individual in this role will have a strong background in tax and CPA certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and leading tax engagements for clients, including planning, execution, and delivery
Identifying and mitigating tax risks for clients
Providing tax research and advice on complex tax issues
Building and maintaining relationships with clients and other professionals
Supervising, mentoring and training junior staff
Staying current on tax laws and regulations and incorporating that knowledge into client work
Reviewing and preparing federal and state income tax returns
Reviewing and preparing partnership, corporate and trust returns
Reviewing and preparing sales and use tax returns
Reviewing and preparing property tax returns
Qualifications:

CPA certification required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
Strong technical tax knowledge and experience
Strong project management and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Strong computer skills including proficiency in tax preparation software.
