We are seeking a seasoned Tax Associate with a passion for delivering exceptional tax services to our clients. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of tax professionals in our Finance Department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and compliance. This role is ideal for those who are detail-oriented, proactive, and have a knack for problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Assist in the development of tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and provide advisory services to clients.
  • Ensure tax compliance by understanding, researching, and applying federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage fiduciary trust accounts and provide estate tax planning services.
  • Collaborate with the tax team to optimize tax accounting procedures.
  • Handle tax audits and negotiate with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building and maintaining relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 10 years of progressive experience in tax preparation.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Experience with estate and wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex tax issues.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service and working in a team environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • An understanding of fiduciary trust accounts and estate tax planning is a plus.
