Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The Tax Accountant will play a critical role in providing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Conducting tax research and analysis to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
Providing tax planning and advisory services to clients to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits.
Assisting clients with tax audits, inquiries, and notices from tax authorities.
Communicating effectively with clients to address their tax-related concerns and provide proactive advice.
Collaborating with other team members, including auditors and financial advisors, to ensure comprehensive client service delivery.
Assisting with special tax projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and tax-exempt entity compliance.
Maintaining accurate and organized tax files and documentation in compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Participating in professional development activities to enhance tax knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem FX, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
