We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and supervising construction projects in commercial and retail sectors. This role requires a professional with extensive knowledge of construction management, design-build, and a strong understanding of the entire construction process. The Permanent Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project construction, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards, and is completed on time and within budget. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project construction from initiation to completion.
2. Co-ordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
3. Review the work progress daily, ensuring that all tasks are on schedule.
4. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
6. Instruct and supervise construction personnel and activities onsite.
7. Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
8. Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
9. Conduct regular inspections to ensure the construction site adheres to safety and health regulations.
10. Coordinate with project managers to ensure construction project is in line with the design-build plan.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in construction.
2. Proven experience in commercial construction and retail sectors.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
4. Strong understanding of construction management and design-build processes.
5. Exceptional leadership and management skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
9. Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction sites.
10. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
