Superintendent

We are seeking a talented and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee and manage all aspects of our construction projects from planning to completion. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects with excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

The ideal Superintendent has 10+ years of construction experience, commercial construction is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, manage construction activities, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
• Develop and manage project schedules, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays.
• Manage all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
• Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
• Implement and enforce quality control and safety measures on the construction site, ensuring all workers adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage.
• Conduct risk management processes to identify, assess, and minimize project risks.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
• Excellent knowledge of construction material procurement and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
• Exceptional leadership and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to work.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage and control project costs.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating and planning.
• Proficiency in risk and safety management.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Certifications in construction management or related field will be a plus.
