Superintendent

Our company is seeking a talented and experienced Superintendent to join our team in the Philadelphia Office. The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in industrial projects ideally cold storage and have some local subcontractor relationships. We are a top local firm with exceptional leadership with over 300M in annual volume.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all aspects of the construction process for projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and implement construction plans, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for the successful completion of cold storage projects.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve any construction-related issues, and ensure that work is being carried out according to specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to carry out their assigned tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all construction activities are in compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on ground up projects.
• Proven expertise in overseeing the construction and maintenance of industrial facilities, particularly cold storage facilities.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and building codes related to cold storage construction.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of successfully managing teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ability to effectively schedule and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address construction-related issues in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and other relevant tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
