Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of the concrete construction process and the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of completion.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Manage the logistics of the construction site.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, including slab, single-family, residential, and hardscape projects.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a residential Superintendent or in a similar role in construction management.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• A team player with leadership abilities.
• BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
• PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
