Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Permanent Superintendent to join our progressive Construction team. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to apply their knowledge and skills in concrete flat work, foreman duties, engineering drawings, and concrete finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring that specifications and deadlines are met.
2. Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and staff.
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
4. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with local and national building codes and safety regulations.
5. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality of work and materials.
6. Coordinate and oversee concrete flat work, ensuring the highest standards of quality and finish.
7. Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
8. Develop and implement project schedules, plans, and budgets, and manage resources effectively to ensure project success.
9. Train and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
10. Act as a foreman, leading and motivating the team to achieve project goals and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a superintendent or similar role in the construction industry. Must have experience in concrete finish and place experience working on both curb/gutter projects along with podium; large slabs for multi-family type projects
2. Proven experience in concrete flat work, foreman duties, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and concrete finishing.
3. Strong knowledge of local and national building codes and safety regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
7. Proficiency in using construction management software and other relevant software applications.
8. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certification in construction health and safety is an advantage.
10. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various construction sites as required.
