We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Superintendent to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a construction firm that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a robust understanding of the construction industry, possessing a strong background in managing subcontractors, reading blueprints, contract management, scheduling, quality control, and safety management. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Superintendent, your primary role will be to oversee all aspects of our construction projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with building and safety codes.
2. Reviewing and interpreting project blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout and sequence of activities.
3. Managing contracts and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
4. Developing and implementing project schedules, coordinating work activities, and monitoring progress.
5. Ensuring quality control measures are in place and adhered to, consistently delivering projects of the highest standards.
6. Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
7. Resolving any on-site issues or disputes, ensuring smooth project execution.
8. Conducting regular site inspections and providing regular progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role.
2. Proven experience in subcontractor management, blueprint reading, contract management, scheduling, quality control, and safety management.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues promptly and effectively.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
6. Proficient in construction software programs.
7. A thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
8. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Relevant certifications such as OSHA training, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s license are advantageous.
