Are you a dynamic, highly motivated individual with a knack for leading construction projects? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team. This role will oversee all aspects of our construction projects, including managing subcontractors, ensuring site safety, and coordinating material orders. You will be the backbone of our projects, ensuring they run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. If you are a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
As a Superintendent, you will be expected to:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
2. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
3. Manage and maintain site safety, ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are adhered to.
4. Coordinate and manage the ordering and delivery of all necessary materials and equipment.
5. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
6. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
7. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
8. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
9. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
10. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks on the construction site.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing construction projects, subcontractors, and ensuring site safety.
3. Proficient knowledge of blueprint reading, construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
4. Strong ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
5. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
6. Excellent time and project management skills.
7. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
8. Exceptional knowledge of construction budgeting and scheduling.
9. Experience in safety management and ensuring site safety.
10. Experience with multifamily projects is strongly preferred
